This prestigious event is organized by the Pegasus Chairman Dr. Ajit Ravi.
The aim of this pageant is to acknowledge the beauty of women inside out and to assess the amazing skills they individually bring to the table. It is one of the only beauty pageants in the country where women are not judged on the basis of how you wear a bikini. Dr. Ajit Ravi said that Miss Asia is a platform for women all around the world to express their talents and it is an honor to felicitate them.
The event was held at held at Gokulam Convention Centre, Kaloor, Kochi and 25 beautiful women from Asian and Eurasian countries participated. The contest has a total of three rounds and the winners and sub-title winners are selected by a highly respected panel of judges – Christina Huvang – Global Charity Queen, Anjali Raut – renowned model, Yulia Dadova – Miss Eurasia 2014 top 10, Thoshma Biju – Managing Editor, Kanyaka and Honey Tian Miss Asia 2017. The winners are presented with golden crowns designed by Parakkat Jewellers and the monetary prize is sponsored by Dr. Elizabeth Chaco of Kalpana International. All the grooming sessions are overlooked by a very capable panel of experts. Aleena Catharine Amone is Miss Glam World Runner-up, Sameer Khar – fashion choreographer, Reji Bhasker – photographer, Sudhekshina Thampi – yoga trainer, Dr. Thomas Nechipadam – denitist, and Vipin Xavier – fitness trainer. The music for the event was specially made by the renowned D J Harvey Steve.The prime partners for the event was Manappuram Finance Limited and D Q Watches. Azzaya Tsugt-Ochir of Mongolia rightly won the title of Miss Asia 2018 and was crowned by Honey Tian. Assem Yessengeldiyeva of Kazakhstan won the title of Miss Asia Global. Apple Joy De Guzman Bacay from Philippines and S D Chalani Rathinayaka from Sri Lankawas the first runner-up, both were crowned by Manappuram Finance Limited MD and CEO Dr. V P Nandakumar.
